Yahoo Guy

Yahoo Internet Life was a joint effort between the folks at Yahoo and Ziff-Davis Publishing-- an early (1995) portal site that attempted to make sense of the rapidly growing 'Net. From a design point of view, it was the begining of "How can we cram 100 billion items into 3 square inches of screen space?" Offering reviews and ratings of other websites in numerous consumer-oriented categories. it was designed to complement the editor's off-the-wall sense of humor!

Random Quotes:

"I have to say that the animation of the little guy yelling "Ya-hoo!" is about the cleverest and cutest animation I've seen on the web in the past year. I stand in awe." --B. Chamberlain

"Those of you spending far too much time on the Web are familiar with Cool Site Of The Day (cool.infi.net), and now they are familiar with us -- our wee ZDIL was Cool Site Of The Day on Monday. Congratulations and deepest thanks to all for the great work; here's to many more. After all, they ain't seen nothing yet!" --A Gunn, Editor, Ziff-Davis Publishing
